friends

Last summer I went to kids camp at Bluewater Covenant Bible Camp in Grand Rapids, MN. I was there three days and two nights. It was so much fun and I can't wait to do it again. We drove from MT to Roseau and I rode the bus with other kids from our church in Roseau. It was a 4 hour bus ride and was pretty fun. I knew several of the kids who were going to camp and also my friend Greta worked there.
This is my counselor who we called CC. I really liked her, she was so nice. Also, all the girls in my cabin.
We had chapel twice a day, devotions at night and free time in the afternoon. In my free time I usually swam, went on walks, climbed the rock wall, went kayaking, tubing and lots of other fun stuff.
Here is Alika reading my Bible and her and I on our way to chapel
Here is Greta with Alika and I. I have known Greta since I was 6 months old. She was my first babysitter and from then on spent a lot of time with us. I love to be around her and miss her alot.
Here is my friend Micah on the bus ride home. He was always being silly and making faces. It was fun to go to bluewater with Micah even though I didn't get to see him very much.

My mom let me take her old camera with me and I had fun taking lots of picture. This dragonfly was so cool - he blended right in to the ground and grass. When we went on walks we always walked through the woods and the trees were so pretty.
I had such a fun time at Bluewater and hope that I get a chance to go again.

My Spider

Dad found this spider when he was mowing the lawn. For several days we thought it had an egg sac on its back. My mom and I looked up info on the spider and realized it was just the way it looked - a big bulging body :-)

We let it go and it was really cook because the whole time it crawled across the deck it was letting out a web. We could see it coming out!

He was really ugly but I liked him anyways. Aren't his striped legs cool? He is an Orb Spider, I can't remember which kind

Me and Barney

This is Barney, he is the horse I ride for lessons.

He is very stubborn and I finally got him to trot!

Barney is mostly black but in the sun you can see a lot of brown too. He is really pretty.

This is my friend Samantha on her horse Sadie. Sadie is a really nice horse too. We get to ride together quite a bit and it is really fun.

My Art Gallery

This week I was able to take an art class called Piece of My Art. It was really fun. I did a splatter paint, self portrait, scratch art, landscape, water painting and lots more. On the last day we had an art gallery for all the students and parents. Each one of us took turns giving a presentation about our art. We had to talk about what our two favorite pieces were and why.
When it was my turn to talk I was nervous but I did it anyway. My mom said I did great and she was really proud of me.

Having Fun with Friends

When we went to Roseau to visit my friends mom threw a pool party for her and I. It was sooooo much fun. We swam, sat in the hot tub, the sauna, ate pizza and had a sleepover in the room right next door. It was even more fun than I imagined.

Me, Victoria, Abby, Troian, Alika and Abby in the sauna. Victoria, me and Troian relaxing.

The Life of a Bird

Dad noticed a bird's nest with eggs in it. The next day Samson was barking at the tree so much that dad lifted me up to check it out. There were 3 baby birds in the nest!!

I named the mother Silver and the babies Tweetie, Amber and Rob. I loved watching them grow. I thought it was really nice of God to have the robin put the nest so low to the ground for me to enjoy.

We were not able to get pictures of the birds for several days. When we finally did we were surprised to see how much they had changed. They had all their feathers! The reason my mom didn't take any picures is because we were walking to the park (across the street from us) and a bird swooped down at her. It didn't hit her with it's body but it fluttered it's wings right at her head. She walked a little further and it did it again! Then it did it to Hannah (who was walking a little behind my mom). About 30 minutes later, I walked nearby the tree to see if I could see the bird and it swooped at me - right at my face!! It was SCARY!! After that, my mom was too scared to be near a bird. She told me that even before this she was kind of scared of them (something about a movie she watched long ago about birds). I didn't want to take the picture either because I was kind of scared that Silver would do the same thing to us and also afraid of dropping mom's nice camera. Hannah has been scared of birds ever since (and anything that flies like bees, flies, mosquitos, butterflies etc). I feel bad for her. When we realized (after trying to take the pictures several days in a row) that we were never going to get the picture we asked dad to take it and he did. Silver sat right nearby and made alot of noise and even flew near him once but never swooped at him.

We saw them for a couple days flying real low to the ground and now they fly perfectly. I took this first picture and mom took the second. When the bird (Amber) was on the branch it was not scared of me at all. It didn't move while I took the picture and I even touched it and it didn't fly away. I loved the little baby birds and watching them grow up. I wish they didn't grow so fast though.

Back to Horse Country

I had a great visit in MN and ND but am happy to be home. Today we went on a drive and noticed these beautiful horses and their really cute colts running and jumping around. Luckily there were no cars behind us so we could just stop on the road and take lots of pictures

One of the many things I love about MT is all the beautiful horses around me
This colt was curious and came over to see what we were doing. His mom quickly pulled him back.

Riding With Kristen

It was so fun to ride with Kristen again. Rogue was really good - he listened to me the whole time!

I jumped Rogue two times and he did really good. He jumped really smoothly and easily. I was a little nervous - I wondered what he was going to do :-)

I love riding Rogue with Kristen!

I get to start riding lessons when we get back to MT. I am excited!!

Cute Little Nellie

I had so much fun playing with our friends, Bob and Barb's, new little puppy Nellie. She is so cute and cuddly.

I was glad the rain stopped for a bit so I could play, play, play with adorable Nellie.

My Favorite Part of the Show

This part of the Lipizzaner show was called "Airs Above the Ground". It was so cool to see the horses jumping in the air.

This one was called the Levade. He balances on his back legs
This one was the Mezair - it was a series of Levades before rising all the way up on his back legs. It is really cool because he is moving forward.
This was really cool to see. It was called the Courbette. The horse balanced on their back legs and hopped forward!
